CANNABINOIDS

CBL · Cannabicyclol

Why it matters

CBL is a good illustration of why storage and freshness matter: cannabinoid profiles shift as products age and see light. It is one of the minor, non-intoxicating compounds a full-spectrum Certificate of Analysis may list in trace amounts.

Frequently asked

What is cannabicyclol (CBL)?

A non-intoxicating minor cannabinoid that forms when CBC is exposed to light over time. It appears only in trace amounts, usually in aged or full-spectrum hemp.

Is CBL psychoactive?

No. CBL is non-intoxicating, like CBC and CBN.

Is there CBL in CBD products?

Only potentially in trace amounts within full-spectrum extracts. It is not added as an ingredient, and isolate or broad-spectrum products would not feature it.
